Our race together with our new rider Roz started out relatively smoothly. I expected a lot of breakaway attempts from riders on LEGION and Fount, so I was on watch duty following the wheels. The race was pretty animated, with several hard attacks on the climb. Whitney went for a clever late move using her momentum and cornering skills in T2 to get a significant gap on the last lap. Unfortunately she was caught before the last two turns and the race ended in a field sprint where I got fifth.
