Egan Ride #2022.09 @ 6PM @ Los Altos Chamber of Commerce
Egan Riders,
This week we have a special route that was inspired by James Nicol. He called his signature route “progressions" as each segment is a little longer/steeper/harsher than the last. Since he has moved down under and they do mostly everything the opposite as here, we thought we’d do his signature route in reverse form. The theme for the night is progressive regressive intervals, mostly shortening as the night progresses. None of this progression nonsense James seems to like ;-)
See you all on Tuesday!
Mike

What: The Egan Ride used to meet at the Jr. High School, but now meets at the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce parking lot every Tuesday at 6:00 pm and leaves at 6:05. We regroup and recover after every climb; if you can do OLH in under 25 minutes you should have no trouble keeping up.
Where: Los Altos Chamber of Commerce
How: Remember, charge the hills, slow roll in between. Pay attention to traffic and don't hog the road. Riders are encouraged to wear garishly colored socks on the Egan Ride, and riders are discouraged from riding Egan if they wear conservative socks.
Ride Splitting: If the ride reaches a large enough size, we will split into multiple groups with one group leaving a few minutes after the first. This is for safety, too many folks on some of the smaller roads can be an issue.
