Egan 2023.09 Top Performers

Ok, so that was probably the craziest Egan in history. First, let’s talk about the positives:

  • most # of women riders (13, judging from Robin’s picture)

  • most # of groups (3)

  • highest rider count (at least 91, according to the results app, which is an underestimate)

  • most # of PRs (at least 485, according to the results app)

  • zero crashes and injuries

  • zero NextDoor threads

With the growing popularity of Egan, the collective will meet tomorrow to discuss a revised format for the ride. Our objectives are simple:

  • Make a safe and fun ride for all levels

  • Accommodate our growth

  • Promote women’s cycling

Rider of the day was Ari Pascarella, with PRs on all 11 segments and a QOM on “Deerfield Drive up”! Ari also took the women’s GC while Eugene Chan took the men’s GC.
