Egan 2022.14 - Egan Ladies's Night by Katheryn Curi
Eganeers,
Two important announcements this week at Egan:
Next Tuesday is Egan Ladies's Night! Our national champion, Katheryn Curi, will lead all the Egan ladies 5 minutes before the rest of the pack. Do you know that Katheryn has her own Wiki page? Check it out at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katheryn_Curi
Have you ever thought to yourself “Egan has been so great for my fitness, it’s helped me achieve unbelievable PRs, I wish there was a way to pay it back?” Well, now is your chance! The Alto Velo Racing Club is hosting the Pescadero Coastal Classic THIS SATURDAY 6/18 and we need VOLUNTEERS!!! You don’t need to be a member to volunteer, but if you are a member you must volunteer. Volunteering for Pescadero is one of the best ways to give back to the local cycling community and ensure that local racing can continue. Please remind your friends to volunteer as well.
Please sign up to volunteer in this Google spreadsheet.
Thank you for volunteering! It is the best way to say thank you for the hard work that Egan leaders put in every week.

What: The Egan Ride used to meet at the Jr. High School, but now meets at the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce parking lot every Tuesday at 6:00 pm and leaves at 6:05. We regroup and recover after every climb; if you can do OLH in under 25 minutes you should have no trouble keeping up.
Where: Los Altos Chamber of Commerce. 321 University Ave, Los Altos, CA 94022.
Ride Splitting: If the ride reaches a large enough size, we will split into multiple groups with one group leaving a few minutes after the first. This is for safety, too many folks on some of the smaller roads can be an issue.
How: Remember, pace yourself appropriately, there's lots of hills to climb! Pay attention to traffic and don't hog the road. Riders are encouraged to wear garishly colored socks on the Egan Ride, and riders are discouraged from riding Egan if they wear conservative socks.
