Protocol:
Double paceline when conditions allow, jam as hard as you like on the climbs, occasional sprint OK, soft pedal for an in-flight regroup when group gets separated
Regroup at the top of every major climb and every significant descent — everyone descends at their own safe speed

Bring two water bottles

Description:
Hey peloton! A couple times per year the C Ride will complete the Coastal Classic and Saturday will be our first taste this year of a route with some longer climbs and descents: extended climb up Hwy9 (Tunitas on the Coastal Classic), long and technical descent down Page Mill Rd (King’s Mountain on the CC). We will do this C Ride style to make sure we don’t lose anyone. If you are still developing your descending skills, ask at the beginning of the ride for a mentor down PM. (I will coerce some experienced cyclists to volunteer as mentors.) This will be fun!

Route highlights:  Hwy9, Skyline, Page Mill

Regroups: first regroup at the McClellan Ranch Preserve; next regroup will be called out at each regroup (at least end of each major ascent and descent), rolling regroups where needed

On the C Ride we emphasize group riding skills & communication in a supportive, controlled environment. On the C Ride we emphasize fun.
